Wizyta w Neapolu
Nawigacja: Home / Comenius / Lata 2009-2011 / Wizyta w Włoszech / Wizyta w Neapolu

Between 1st and 7th May 2011 the last Comenius project meeting took place in Naples, Italy. Mikolaj / kl. 3G /and Marysia / kl. 2G /were chosen to represent our school then. We arrived in Naples about 6 o’clock pm and were met by our Italian partners at the airport.
On the first day - Monday - we met people from Italy and other partners' countries who came for the meeting and had a tour around the school. Our partners' school name is Giustino Fortunato. It is huge but, unfortunately, quite dirty with a lot of graffiti on the walls.. The fact is that they haven’t got breaks between the lessons so their school day finishes at 14.00 It is a secondary school specialized in Economics, Business. Tourism and Information Technology.
Later we visited the old city and had traditional Italian food for dinner – pizza. The afternoon was spent with our Comenius partners.
On the second day all the teams showed their presentations. Italians ans English presented their countries as well as Laura & John reports from the visits so we spent all day at school. Our team showed the presentations about Youth Fashion in Poland which contained the snapshots of Feli Fashion Show which took place at our school on the first day of spring, 21st of March.
On Wednesday we had a trip to Pompeii and Sorrento Coast. We saw the historical city destroyed by Vesuvius volcano. The trip was very interesting and we learnt a lot about ancient times in Italy. However, the most important part of the trip was the possibility of talking freely to every participant using our knowledge of English, our common project language, and socialize.
Thursday was the last day of our project. We did some evaluation, discussed the outcomes of the meeting and shared some ideas for the future. In the afternoon we met at the tennis club for our Farewell Dinner Party.
The last day we spent on Capri, the island of caves and sun. However, it was time to say “Goodbye” to our new friends and we felt sad, promising to keep in touch with them later on. On Saturday we left Italy very early, we had the flight at 7 o’clock.
I think, taking part in this Comenius week was very interesting as we met a lot of new people, experienced different cultures, improved our English and got more open to Europe.
I personally would like to participate in such a project once more in my life.
